J. Fröhlich, M. Bäuerle: Die Postproduktion im digitalen Kopierwerk (Digital Lab) ist heute für viele Kinofilmproduktionen in Deutschland zum Standard geworden. Auch wenn für manche (Filmnegativ-)Projekte weiterhin gute Gründe für eine klassische Kopierwerksbearbeitung sprechen, hat sich die digitale Bearbeitung von Kinofilmen mittlerweile fest etabliert. Mit einem Blick auf die zukünftige Entwicklung der digitalen Kopierwerksbearbeitung sollen anhand einiger Schlagwörter des digitalen Postproduktionsprozesses die heutige Situation kurz analysiert und mögliche Entwicklungen skizziert und eingeordnet werden. Die beschriebenen Überlegungen basieren auf den Erfahrungen der Autoren im Umgang mit Kinofilmprojekten, die bei der CinePostproduction realisiert wurden. Andere Anwendungsfelder in der Postproduktion implizieren möglicherweise andere Lösungen.
Postproduction of motion pictures in the digital lab has become standard in the German film industry. Although there are still valid reasons for film-based projects to be finished in the analogue film lab, there is no doubt that digital lab workflows are well established nowadays. The high quality currently obtainable in digital postproduction leads to the question: What developments might be possible in the near future? This article analyses and illustrates where we are now and what might be coming next. The following considerations are based on the practical experiences of the authors in the field of motion picture postproduction at CinePostproduction. Other applications might lead to different conclusions in terms of possible future evolution.
