M. Lindenkreuz: Digital Intermediate (DI) hat sich quasi als Norm zur Erzeugung von Filmen etabliert und dabei zahlreiche Veränderungen im Produktionsarbeitsablauf hervorgerufen. Im Beitrag wird ein System vorgestellt, das speziell für den DI-Postproduktionsbereich entwickelt wurde, um effizient synchronisierte und farbkorrigierte Dailies zu erstellen. Damit bringt man eine der letzten analogen Domainen in die nichtlineare Umgebung und überbrückt die Lücke zwischen der Produktion und der Nachbearbeitung.
DI (Digital Intermediate) post-production has become the norm for movies, causing major changes from the former film-based production workflow. This article introduces a system designed for post-production of dailies. The system is designed to generate synchronised and colourcorrected dailies efficiently, universally and scaleably. It implements various concepts including non-destructive colour correction conforming to ASC CDL, non-linear editing, collaborative workflows, etc. The resultant system brings the last linear domain into the non-linear world and efficiently bridges the gap between production and the final post production.
