Call for Papers FKTG – 27th Technical Conference and Exhibition 2016

The FKTG technical conference and exhibition will be held from May 9.-11. 2016 in Leipzig. This bi-annual conference is the industries premiere event in Germany, where people gather to learn and discuss new technologies and scientific research results related to the broadcast and professional electronic media industry.

All IT: Media, Networks, Strategies

New formats, usage habits, production facilities, distribution infrastructures and business models for media in TV and cinema create the basis for continuous broadening of media usage beyond the classic origins. Being able to create high quality audio-visual content, is no longer a well familiar unique selling point and a privilege for the broadcast and cinema industry. Highly performant IT infrastructure, either gathered local server farms, or offered as a scaling cloud solution, fosters the need for prompt and flexible solutions in media acquisition, production and distribution.

As a consequence, internationally operating market actors fight for the recipient’s attention with new content and business ideas, and with high quality content of continuously growing technical complexity – at home, in modern cinema environments, in public events, and on a steadily increasing number of mobile devices.

The FKTG invites scientists, developers, users and decision makers of the broadcast, film and electronic media industry to discuss these trends, to inform about results of research, technology development and use cases.

Major themes of contributions will be assigned to separate days of the conference.
