Oktober 2007 bietet ARTE in der „ARTE+7“-Online-Mediathek ausgewählte Beiträge als Videostream an, die in Qualitäten von 300 und 800 kbit/s für insgesamt sieben Tage (nach Ausstrahlung) genutzt werden können. Die ARTE Online-Mediathek zeichnet sich durch ein Navigationskonzept aus, das ‘Tag Cloud’- und Video-Karussell-Funktionalität kombiniert. Web 2.0-Merkmale, wie Bewertungen und die nahtlose Integration in das ARTE.tv-Dachportal, sind dabei selbstverständlich. Die redaktionelle Pflege und Verwaltung der Inhalte erfolgt durch ein Content-Management-System (CMS). Im Beitrag werden das Gesamtsystem und die redaktionellen Arbeitsabläufe beschrieben.
Since October 2007, ARTE offers a selection of TV programs as video streams via the Internet. After their broadcast on TV, streams are offered for a period of 7 days in qualities of 300 and 800 kbps. The ‘ARTE Online-Mediathek’ incorporates a frontend with a navigation concept that combines Tag Cloud and video carousel functionality. Web 2.0 features such as ranking and seamless integration into the ARTE.tv are part of the solution. The portal is maintained on basis of a CMS, which enables maintenance and classification of content regardless of the presentation platform used later on. The automatically collected broadcast information and metadata are stored in the CMS three weeks in advance. The article explains the overall system and the editorial workflow processes.
