Kurzfassung des Vortrags No. 66

The increasing demand for high resolution videos, together with limited transmission and memory capacity is still driving the research on high performance video compression codecs. The quality of the prediction signal has a large influence on the efficiency of video codecs. In this talk, we will give a brief introduction to video codecs in general and introduce a novel iterative filter method for prediction signals based on state-of-the-art image processing methods.
