A. Aulich: Teil der technischen Infrastruktur bei Cologne Broadcasting Center (Köln, München und Hannover) ist eine Apple-basierende Postproduktionsumgebung mit insgesamt 60 Arbeitsplätzen und knapp 75 TB netto nutzbarem zentralen Datenspeicher. Im Beitrag werden die Erfahrungen mit der Entwicklung und dem Aufbau eines Apple-basierenden Postproduktions-Systems unter besonderer Berücksichtigung von Faktoren wie zum Beispiel Erweiterbarkeit, Gesamtbetriebskosten und Wartungsaufwand beim CBC beschrieben.
Part of the technical infrastructure of the Cologne Broadcasting Center (Cologne, Munich and Hanover) is an Apple-based post-production environment with 60 workstations and about 75 TB of centralised data storage. This article describes CBC's experience with the development and setup of an Apple-based post-production environment, considering factors such as scalability, cost of ownership and cost of maintenance.
