There is a lot of evidence that the mobile use of linear TV programs will have a breakthrough as soon as the technical and economical conditions are met. Several concepts are on the table which are examined in this article with regard to costs, spectrum requirements, standardization and risks of migration. Optimal solutions can only be found if broadcasters, mobile radio and research institutions cooperate in an unbiased manner. For this there are several good initiatives with the participation of the IRT.
