In November 2012, a revised and expanded version of the HbbTV standard for internet-connected Smart TVs was published as ETSI TS 102 796 v1.2.1. About the background information and first phases of the HbbTV development as well as the technical features of this standard articles have been published in FKT issue 8–9/2009 and 4/2011 already. In this paper, the current status of the development and application is described and a brief outlook on future technical evolutions are presented.
Klaus Merkel: Im November 2012 veröffentlichte ETSI eine überarbeitete und erweiterte Version des HbbTV-Standards für internetfähige Smart-TVs als ETSI TS 102 796 v1.2.1. Über die Hintergründe sowie ersten Phasen der Entwicklung von HbbTV und die technischen Eigenschaften des Standards ist bereits in den Ausgaben 8–9/2009 sowie 4/2011 der FKT berichtet worden. Im vorliegenden Beitrag wird der aktuelle Stand der Entwicklung und Anwendung beschrieben und ein kurzer Ausblick auf geplante technische Weiterentwicklungen gegeben.
