Broadcasters are facing new challenges because the efficency of workflows is being increasingly optimised in line with a decreasing level of systems integration complexity. The author describes a news production platform based on an open system architecture as well as allowing a variety of codecs and formats.The integration of communication standards from manufacturers such as FIMS, MOS and SOAP is enabled. By this means an easily adopted migration path towards future requirements will be offered.
Niklas Fabian: Broadcaster stehen einer Vielzahl von Herausforderungen gegenüber, denn die Effizienz der Workflows soll kontinuierlich und dauerhaft optimiert und gleichzeitig der Aufwand für die Integration neuer Systeme gering gehalten werden. Mit einer Plattform für die Nachrichtenproduktion, die neben einer offenen Systemarchitektur auch eine Vielzahl unterschiedlicher Codecs und Formate unterstützt, wird die Integration herstellerübergreifender Kommunikationsstandards wie zum Beispiel FIMS, MOS, SOAP usw. geboten. Dadurch wird ein Migrationspfad für zukünftige Anforderungen bereitgestellt, der einfach anzupassen ist.
