Today’s microphones, production and transmission systems are mostly of high quality, therefore allowing for an impressive sound experience – at least theoretically. But reality shows that only a fraction of what would be achievable is finally reaching home. In this paper essentials of location sound pick-up and recording are explained and tips as well as tricks for daily work are revealed.
