Josè Somolinos: 5G has long been hailed as the next big thing for the video industry. Its massive bandwidth and low latency opens up a wealth of new features not possible before and it could drastically change the way we create, contribute, and distribute video content to users. In particular, 5G opens up the possibility for more advanced features, such as Extended Reality (XR), which up until now have had limited traction due in part to the limitations of connectivity. Will 5G rollout make XR suddenly more mainstream?
