The release of Apple´s iBooks Author, a software to create interactive multimedia ebooks, made a project possible that combined the knowledge and experience about the field of data management for media professionals. Several authors contributed to the project. The result is a free ebook that’s story and contents will be summarized.

Die Vorstellung von Apple´s iBooks Author, einer Software zur Erstellung interaktiver Multimedia eBooks, ermöglichte ein Projekt, das das Wissen und die Erfahrung zum Bereich des Datenmanagements für Medienprofis zusammenstellt. Mehrere Autoren haben zu diesem Projekt beigetragen. Das resultierende kostenlose eBook, sowie seine Geschichte und sein Inhalt werden im Überblick dargestellt.
