R. Schäfer: Das Steering Board des ‘World DMB Forums’ hat auf der Sitzung am 3. Oktober 2007 in Oslo die DAB-IPDC-Spezifikation verabschiedet. Mit der Spezifikation wird eine Harmonisierung von IPDatacast-(IPDC-)Diensten über DVB-H, DAB und UMTS erreicht. Speziell die Ausstrahlung von Mobile TV-Diensten über DVB-H und DAB wird mit den gleichen Formaten und Übertragungsprotokollen ermöglicht.
The Steering Board of the World DMB Forum has passed the DAB-IPDC specification at its meeting on 3. October 2007 in Oslo. This specification is based on proposals submitted by the German DXB project. With DAB-IPDC, a harmonization of IP Datacast (IPDC) services over DVB-H, DAB and UMTS has been reached. Especially for Mobile TV services over DVB-H and DAB the usage of the same formats and protocols is now possible.
