Control systems for contribution and distribution networks must fulfill many functions and provide appropriate tools for different user groups with different areas of responsibility. Due to the spatial distribution of the networks and the competing uses of resources in the network, the control system must have a powerful resource management, in order to provide a comprehensive operational safety. It should be able to hide the network complexity from the normal users, but simultaneously users in the control room and at the NOC should have intervention opportunities into the signal path. In issue 8-9/2012 of FKT the underlying MPLS technology was explained and their use as well as control is presented in this paper.

Aufgrund der räumlichen Verteilung der Netzwerke und der konkurrierenden Nutzung der Ressourcen im Netzwerk muss das Steuersystem eine leistungsfähige Ressourcenverwaltung haben, um eine umfassende Betriebssicherheit zu bieten. Es sollte die Netzwerkkomplexität vor den normalen Anwendern verbergen können, gleichzeitig aber Anwendern im Schaltraum und im NOC gezielte Eingriffsmöglichkeiten in den Signalverlauf bieten. In der Ausgabe 8-9/2012 der FKT wurde über die zugrundeliegende MPLS-Technik berichtet, deren Einsatz und Steuerung im Beitrag vorgestellt wird
