With DVB-C2 soon to be deployed in Germany, related activity is taking place within the TM-C2 experts group of the DVB consortium. The group is responsible for the development of the specification, with the participation of the Institut für Nachrichtentechnik of Technische Universität Braunschweig. The development schedule includes validation and verification of the standard, system tests under realistic conditions, and the updating and extension of the implementation guidelines which supplement the specification in terms of content. The author provides an overview of the developments and the status of the work in progress.
Philipp Hasse: DVB-C2 steht in Deutschland kurz vor der Einführung und es finden derzeit innerhalb der TM-C2-Expertengruppe des DVB-Konsortiums, die für die Entwicklung des Standards verantwortlich zeichnet, diverse Aktivitäten rund um das DVB-C2-Systems statt, an denen auch das Institut für Nachrichtentechnik (IfN) der TU Braunschweig beteiligt ist: Validierung und Verifikation des Standards, Systemtests unter realen Übertragungsbedingungen sowie die fortlaufende Aktualisierung und Erweiterung der Implementation Guidelines, die die Spezifikation inhaltlich mit umfassenden Zusatzinformationen unterstützen.
